After the main character takes on a leadership role, he becomes consumed by the fear of expressing an incorrect opinion and being looked down on by others. In an effort to preserve his position as a leader, he disguises and packages himself at every turn, never freely expressing his personal perspective, but always speaking with great caution and after careful consideration. He finds this a very oppressive, painful way to live. Later on, after being exposed by God's words, he realizes that behind his disingenuousness is the fact that he's being controlled by his corrupt disposition. What exactly does he learn? What paths of practice does he find in God's words that set him free? You'll find the answers in Behind the Disguise.
